Summary
So, King Nebby has evidently forgotten about his statement in the last chapter that Daniel’s God was “God of gods and Lord of kings”. He’s set out to build a giant idol, and is threatening to kill anyone that doesn’t bow down and worship the image. The method of execution is burning by being cast into the “fiery furnace” (perhaps the one used to melt down all that gold. The idol is made of gold and stands around 90 feet tall and 9 feet wide. (Dan. 3:1-7).
